$1000 No Limit Hold Em - WSOP Event #8

The next tournament is only a couple of hours away. I bubbled yesterday's tournament, but I felt good with the way I was playing and don't have any regrets over not hanging on to cash. Whenever I'm given the choice between possibly doubling up and allowing my stack to dwindle down so that I can just make the cash, the choice is easy--I'll always choose to go for the double up.

O.k., that's not always true. If the buy in for the event is $10k and I'm right on the bubble and I have the chance to watch a couple of short stacks go at it against a big stack, I'll sit the hand out. But in 99% of the events I enter, it simply isn't worth playing if all I do is cash. Yesterday's event, for example, had a $235 buy in and just making the minimum cash (57th place) paid only $377. After 8 hours of play, I'm not looking for $142 profit.

I'm off to breakfast and maybe the cash games while I wait for the event to start.

Thanks for reading!
